stupidity or ignorance?

or maybe both … being stupid and ignorant … sigh …

tau dong kalau speedboat itu modal transportasi kita kerja disini. makanya jangan heran kalau kantor kita punya cukup banyak speedboat (namun yang 1 udh tewas dr jaman kuda, namun belum juga dibenerin … kebayang banyak nya uang yg dihabiskan untuk beli itu speed, dan tetap membayar asuransi tapi gak pernah dipake … stupid and ignorant?). jd kalau kita ada keperluan dan perlu speed, we just need to fill out the boat request form and the rest is someone’s job to follow it up (mengirimkan itu boat request ke bos speed, memastikan ada BBM, memastikan speed layak jalan, dll). jadi kita orang program udh gak hrs ngurusin tetek benget yg lain … ah we are trully in heaven if that  happens …  but of course hal ini gak pernah terjadi.

sudah 2 kali temen terjebak di tengah laut (2 hari berturut2) karena: filter speed lepas, BBM kotor. akhirnya dr tengah laut balik lagi ke kantor. kebayang banyak nya BBM yg terbuang percuma hanya untuk bolak balik ke tengah laut? padahal kita bekerja untuk kantor konservasi … its embarrassing … (stupid and ignorant?)

sudah memasukkan boat request jauh2 hari utk pemakaian speed hari senin. apa yang terjadi?  our love letters:

[17:38] Miss, aku pake speed apa hr senin? (gak ada jawaban)

[15:51] Miss, tolong dong speed request ku dikasih ke bos speed. kita udh ikut prosedur tp kamu enggak. gimana nih?

[17:59] Sudah kasih tadi. Logistik udh dibeli oleh CCC apa lagi?

[18:12] Tadi aku telp bos speed. dia blg gak ada speed request dr aku. aku gak titip logistik ke CCC.

[........ ] bla bla blah … logistik itu utk kru kapal … bla bla bla bla (tentu saja pada hari keberangkatan tidak ada logistik apapun yang disediakan, dan waktu aku confirm si miss ini malah balik menyalahkan aku)

[18:18] Speed AAA lagi diatur waktunya sama skippernya krn kita punya skipper bbrp saja. Speed BBB belum jadi2 krn barang terlambat. Yg pastinya jalan. Hanya kita lagi koordinir semua. kalau hari H nya tidak jalan baru complain. (boleh gak ya aku analogkan: udh mau tenggelem di laut krn gak ada life vest, lalu baru complain?)

[18:25] Tetep saja. speed request harus ada di bos speed baru dia bisa atur speed dong. gimana mau koordinasi kalau bos speed aja gak tau ada yang mau pake speed. eniwei, tadi aku udh bicara dengan bos speed. pengalaman kemaren kan bos speed jg gak tau aku mau pake speed. pd hari H terpaksa harus dibatalkan. kalau trip jalan2 gak apa. tp aku udh malu dengan kepala dinas karena selalu membatalkan perjanjian krn alasan speed.menunjukkan betapa tidak bisa dipercayanya kantor ini.

PS: kalau ini sih totally STUPIDITY-nya si miss …

di speed enggak ada life vest, enggak ada jangkar, gak ada kompas tapi speed teuteup di assign untuk jalan (tentu saja aku baru tau waktu speed udh mau dipake buat pulang) … keliatan sekali kan kalau mereka enggak peduli dengan nyawa2 kita yg dilaut? … (stupid and ignorant?)

BBM enggak cukup, alasannya tidak ada dirigen kosong untuk nampung BBM. dan tentu saja aku baru tahu krn dimintai duit utk beli BBM sewaktu perjalanan mau pulang …  (stupid and ignorant?)

speed udh mau jalan tapi ternyata tidak ada oli dan kita yang hrs teriak2 untuk cari oli …. (stupid and ignorant?)

nah udah bisa menarik kesimpulan sendiri kan ya???

i hate (but need) lion

lion air emang nyebelin … tapi dibutuhin juga … tapi tetep nyebelin.

kalau terbang pake lion air dari sorong atau kembali ke sorong sudah 6 bulan terakhir ini, bagasi kita selalu ditinggal di kota lain. alasannya pesawatnya over load … tp kok bisa ya? kan mereka nimbang berat barang. kalau cuma ditinggal sekali2 sih enggak apa, tapi ini kayaknya setiap trip yang aku atau temen2ku ambil deh. emang sih 2 hari kemudian barang dikembalikan. tapi makanan udah busuk dong.

nah ini kejadian lain. aku ngebatalin flight yang sudah kubayar dengan kartu kredit. sudah ada surat keterangan dr lion sorong, namun enggak tau gimana mereka ternyata tidak memberitahu kepada pihak lion jakarta untuk proses refund. dan aku baru sadarnya berbulan2 kemudian. aniwei, setelah diurus dan minta konfirmasi ke kantor jakarta, aku di sepa’in oleh devi dari bagian refund. ihhh … nyebelin deh, mau ta’ pites mbak devi ini. yah emang orang indonesia itu ramah2 ya … (mulai men-generalisisasi nih).

jadi sekarang mau beli tiket balik ke sorong … lion lagi deh … hiks hiks

me against “the world”

yeap, that is how i feel now.

i used to be a very calm person, hate confrontation, accept everything with little or no complain. but now i change … a lot actually.

suddenly, im a trouble maker at this place. i mean i complain a lot about everything to everyone. i just cant stay quite and silence if i see or hear that someone is being treated badly. and i complain a lot about a bunch of all other things, especially about how unprofessional “this group” handling things.

anyway, lately i realize that “this group” has made everything more difficult to me. it feels like there’s gonna be a war between me and them.

or maybe im just being paranoid?  … oh Lord … whatever …

home … is all i need now

i realized how pathetic and boring my life is when i was way too excited because BCA (bank) is opening its branch in Sorong. every time i passed the “akan segera di buka BCA” sign i clapped my hands like 2 year old.

so … im taking one week off … off from all the drama and headache in this office … one week free from work and annoying partners … one week of pure pleasure … meet up with friends, hang out, dine out, shop till i drop (i will do this i promise) …  one week to find out if this is what i really want (funny thing is i just signed my new contract).

I HATE THIS OFFICE

sebelllllllllllllllllllllllll ama operasional yang enggak mau mengerti sama sekali. YES IM SELFISH ….  DASARRRRRRRRRRR ……… kelaut aja semua gih …

hiks … kita udh mau terdepak nih dr rumah kos. hrs buru2 cr tempat baru. tp di sorong ujan mulu, jd kalu mau liat kos pake ojek kan enggak mungkin. masa kita cuma mau minjem mobil untuk ambil alat selam kantor dan sekalian liat kos di daerah yang baru enggak boleh … aduuuuuuhhhh ini kan on the way sekalian buat keperluan kantor.  masa kita diminta peras keringat dan darah, harus makan hati tiap hari, untuk kemajuan program yang dipuja2 selangit oleh para bosses tapi untuk masalah sepele gini kantor tidak mau mendukung sih … aku sih udh niat tidak akan bekerja keras lagi, bekerja sesuai dengan gaji aja. enggak mau keukeuh lagi … buat apa sih? mau dibilang enggak profesional? silakan. setiap hari mempertaruhkan nyawa di laut untuk apa? supaya kantor punya nama baik kan?  this OFFICE is worse than i thought … UNBELIEABLE.

2009 Raja Ampat Entrance Tag Design Contest

Do you have the perfect Raja Ampat photo?

Is it one that truly captures the excitement and beauty of Raja Ampat diving?

Do you want to see it printed 4,000 times and attached to BCD’s the world over?

If so, then enter the official Raja Ampat 2009 park entrance tag design contest. Enter up to 2 photos or graphic designs to www.wetpixel.com/raja before the 28th August 2008. After finalists are accepted, you – the public – will vote for the best until the 25th September 2008. The winner will be announced on the 1st October 2008.

Please submit digital images at a medium resolution image (up to 1024 x 1024 pixels maximum, no more than 500Kb in file size) in jpg format. On September 15th, finalists will be selected and asked to submit high resolution images.

When submitting an image, please bear in mind the limitations imposed by reproduction on a small (5 cm diameter), circular, plastic tag. The 2007 and 2008 tag design can be found below for your reference. Note that images do not have to be submitted in circular format, though we will need to adapt images to the circular tag.

Prize winning photos will share the copyright with the Tim Pengelola (Management Team) for use in non-profit park management activities (e.g. village-education programs , village posters, calendars, management presentations, etc).
